Position Summary:  

The Lead Site Engineer is a senior-level Industrial IT Engineer with responsibility to support the definition, creation, deployment, and maintenance of industrial IT solutions to support the optimal functioning of clients’ operations. This position also has the responsibility to facilitate internal IT support for the division with direction from Global IT. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Delivery & support of shop-floor Information Systems projects including client, server & network components 
  • Provide technical assistance in the production of sales proposals. 
  • Under the guidance of a project manager, take ownership of deployment projects through the full lifecycle from detailed planning to customer/support acceptance. 
  • Production of quality design, build & test documentation for internal & external customer use. 
  • Interface with all levels of customer stakeholders for detailed planning and delivery of the project. 
  • Formal handover of project & all deliverables to the Service & Support team before project closedown. 
  • This position will require being part of an “on-call” support rotation. 
  • Serve as a technical leader, offering mentorship and guidance to Industrial IT Engineers and team with the aim of empowering them and fostering a highly effective team that embraces a continuous improvement and growth mentality.   
  • Integrate software applications that form part of a manufacturing process or capability, bridging the gap between the software supplier and our customers’ IT environment.  
  • Provide first class customer service to our US manufacturing customer base, interfacing with stakeholders in a multi-vendor IT supplier environment from various IT disciplines.  
  • Take technical ownership of project delivery activities through a full project lifecycle from detailed planning to customer acceptance and handover to support. 
  • Provide “lessons learned” upon project hiccups and closeouts to help improve our operations and commercial processes.

Required Qualifications 

  • Experience in the delivery of Information System projects including computer hardware, software, and manufacturing equipment. 
  • A demonstrable knowledge of network topologies. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Server & Client) 
  • Moderate level of knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server 
  • Microsoft Power Platforms (i.e. – PowerBI, PowerApps, etc.) 
  • Experience with Manufacturing SCADA systems (i.e. – PLC, HMI, etc.) 
  • Basic scripting experience in VBScript, Python, or PowerShell 
  • Technical Authoring Skills 
  • Includes knowledge of Microsoft Visio 
  • US Citizenship required for SLA agreement 
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.  
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong professional relationships.
