YOUR ROLE – What would be your everyday job?
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is responsible for leading the financial operations of the business and supports the executive team with analysing key financial information and business indicators to manage the business. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the CFO holds a strategic role with a focus on future business planning, internal and external stakeholder engagement and risk management to support the company’s strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
As CFO accountability will cover three main areas of responsibility across the company:
- Financial Operations
- Financial Strategy
- Financial Structure
Core responsibilities under these areas include, but may not be limited to:
Financial Operations
- As CFO you hold accountability for leading company’s day-to-day financial management by ensuring accurate interpretation and reporting of financial results and key business metrics to senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Strong budgeting and forecasting, effective cash flow oversight, and reliable financial controls matched to business performance are also key ingredients of financial operations. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, the CFO will highlight areas of development the finance team, support audit activities, and maintain efficient finance processes that enable efficient and effective operational decision-making which support the business globally.
Financial Strategy
- The CFO will shape and drive the organisation’s financial strategy to support mid-term growth, profitability, and value creation. As CFO you are expected to provide forward-looking analysis, advise the CEO, Senior Leadership team and Board of Directors on financial implications of business decisions, define capital requirements, and help align financial planning with the company’s wider strategic objectives and growth ambition.
Financial Structure
- Establish and maintain the financial and governance framework needed to support a scalable, compliant, and resilient business. This includes optimising the financial organisation, capital structures, managing financial risk, overseeing tax and compliance matters, strengthening internal controls, and building effective relationships with banks, auditors, investors, shareholders, and other external stakeholders.
CORE COMPETENCIES SOUGHT
- Industry Accredited Financial Qualification (i.e. ACCA or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in a CFO role / 10 years’ experience in a Senior Finance role
- Global Business experience (ideally in a professional services organisation)
- Demonstrable experience in leading teams with an ability to motivate and influence colleagues and peers.
- Knowledge / Experience of enterprise systems (AI experience considered extremely beneficial)
- Knowledge / Experience of IFRS, GAAP and Tax
- Transformation / Change Management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English necessary.
- An ability to converse in other European languages considered beneficial.
