✈️ Senior Civil Engineer – Major Infrastructure Project | Dublin Airport
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a major infrastructure project at Dublin Airport, one of the most important aviation hubs in Europe. This long-term project offers the opportunity to work on a complex and technically challenging tunnel construction within an active airport environment.
About the Project
The project involves the construction of a twin-cell enclosed tunnel designed to significantly improve traffic flow and infrastructure around Dublin Airport.
Key parameters of the project:

Twin-cell tunnel with two traffic lanes in each direction

Enclosed section approx. 0.7 km
-
Total alignment approx. 1.1 km (ramp to ramp)

External width: approx. 24 m
-
Internal height: approx. 5.5 m from road level to tunnel ceiling

Surface connection through access ramps at both ends
The project combines civil, mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines and requires coordination in a highly regulated airfield environment.
Your Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in supervising and coordinating construction activities on site while ensuring compliance with design, safety, and airport operational requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising civil, mechanical and electrical works on site

Reviewing and implementing detailed engineering designs
-
Making minor design amendments where required during construction

Submitting updated drawings and documentation to the Client for approval
-
Ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications
-
Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and airport stakeholders
Your Profile
We are looking for a seasoned engineering professional who thrives in complex infrastructure environments.
Requirements:

8–15 years of experience in civil engineering projects
-
Proven experience supervising large infrastructure or tunnel projects
-
Ability to review and amend technical design drawings
-
Experience with airfield civil works, including:

drainage systems
-
underground utilities
-
airport infrastructure works

Strong coordination and communication skills
-
Ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated airport environment
