Shape the People Experience at ATS Malaysia 

Role Summary

Join ATS Global as our People Operations Manager and play a vital role in the continued success of our Malaysian operations.

As a trusted partner to the Malaysia Country Manager and with a dotted reporting line to our Global People Operations Manager, you’ll be at the heart of everything People Ops – from recruitment and onboarding to performance and engagement.

What You’ll Be Doing 

You’ll lead the day-to-day POps operations and collaborate with local leaders and the global POps community to build a thriving, high-performing workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of recruitment activities, including governance of short and long-term hiring needs
  • Owning the onboarding and offboarding experience — ensuring it’s smooth, compliant, and people-oriented.
  • Administering and aligning People policies with both Malaysian labor laws and internal guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
  • Driving the performance management process, including feedback, appraisals, and development conversations.
  • Facilitating employee engagement and wellness initiatives that create connection and boost morale.
  • Supporting training and development programs to grow skills across the team.
  • Preparing HR reports and workforce analytics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Partnering with department leaders on workforce planning and organizational goals.
  • Liaison with wider ATS Global finance community
  • Active cooperation with the Global POps team on global Pops activities; participating in the creation and roll-out of new POps processes and systems

YOUR PROFILE – What We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for someone who combines POps knowledge with a people-first mindset and the confidence to operate both independently and collaboratively:

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role demonstrating knowledge of POps function and best practices
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and POps best practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in both Malay and English are essential in this position
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to balance autonomy with good judgment on when to seek alignment

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):

  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or local equivalents).
  • Experience in organizational development or change management.
  • Knowledge of HR analytics or workforce planning tools.
  • Experience delivering people training or internal development programs

Language:

  • Fluent in Malay and English (verbal and written)
  • Additional regional languages are a plus
